    Bolloré Logistics appoints new Asia Pacific chief

    Bolloré Logistics has named Olivier Boccara as its next chief executive officer for Asia Pacific, taking over the duties of Cyril Dumon.

    Prior to taking on the new role, Boccara, who joined the Bolloré Group in 1994, was the company’s chief commercial officer. He held various positions at SAGA and became its CEO in 2007.He was promoted to managing director of Bolloré Logistics France in 2016.

    He was notably involved in a number of major structuring projects, including the merger of the SAGA and SDV subsidiaries in 2015 and the acquisition in 2021 of a majority stake in Ovrsea, a startup specialising in digital freight forwarding.

    Olivier will be based in Singapore, where he will pursue the development strategy implemented by Dumon. He also aims to launch new projects in several key sectors, including aeronautics, healthcare, luxury goods and cosmetics.

    Bolloré Logistics’ Osaka Office Certified CEIV Pharma by IATA at Kansai Int’l Airport

    On March 31st, 2019, Bolloré Logistics Japan was successfully certified by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as Center of Excellence for Independent Validators in Pharmaceutical Logistics (CEIV Pharma) at its platform located in the Kansai International Airport (KIX), in Osaka. The certification is a globally recognized and standardized certification for healthcare airfreight shipments. Bolloré Logistics Japan began the certification process according to the IATA CEIV Pharma standards in the second quarter of 2017. The CEIV Pharma certification will allow Bolloré Logistics Japan to have a strategic advantage in the healthcare logistics market with a stronger, more competitive and enhanced air cargo service.

    “Earning the CEIV Pharma certification demonstrates our ability to successfully build and deploy a team of experts who are fully capable to offer end-to-end logistics solution for the pharmaceutical related temperature sensitive products through the Kansai International Airport (KIX). In the near future, we are also keen to acquire the same certification in Haneda Airport (Tokyo) in order for us to expand the expertise nationwide,” said Goro UMEZAWA, Sales Manager at Bolloré Logistics Japan.

    This new success shows our commitment to achieve the highest international quality standard in the global pharmaceutical supply chain for its customers, by continually improving our processes and infrastructures to be compliant with IATA CEIV Pharma standards. With Australia, Singapore, South Korea, China and now Japan certified, the aim of Bolloré Logistics is to deploy this action throughout its global network with on-going certifications on other sites in the Asia-Pacific region
    such as China Hong Kong.

    In Europe, Bolloré Logistics has already received the IATA CEIV Pharma certification for its Paris Roissy CDG platform (France) as well as its sites in Brussels (Belgium), Frankfurt (Germany) and Lisbon (Portugal). The International Air Transport Association (IATA) created Center of Excellence for Independent Validators in Pharmaceutical Logistics (CEIV Pharma) in 2014. It aims to set the industrial standard for air cargo supply chain in pharmaceutical handling excellence. It addresses industry’s need for more safety, security, compliance and efficiency, by the creation of a globally consistent and recognized pharmaceutical product handling certification. CEIV Pharma encompasses, or even supersedes, many of the existing pharmaceutical standards and guidelines, such as IATA Temperature Control Regulations (TCR), European Union Good Distribution Practices (EU GDP), World Health Organization Annex 5, United States Pharmacopeia Standards.

    Bolloré Logistics Awarded at the 5th FPSO & FLNG & FSRU Asia Pacific Summit

    From October 18th – 19th, 2018, Bolloré Logistics participated in the 5th FPSO & FLNG & FSRU Asia Pacific Summit held in Shanghai – China.  This event gathered more than 800 decision makers from the FPSO, FLNG and FSRU industry sectors to discover the latest industry trends, technological wave for digitization and business model innovations.

    Bolloré Logistics, represented by their Chinese entity, was awarded the “Outstanding FPSO Logistics Contractor of the Year”. Bruce BOUDAILLER, Oil & Gas Regional Director at Bolloré Logistics Asia-Pacific, who received the award on behalf of the team, said: “We are very appreciative of the confidence and loyalty shown by our customers and partners.     Bolloré Logistics Crowned Best Green Logistics Operator at the 2018 AFLAS Awards

    Present on May 15th at the 2018 Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain Awards (AFLAS) organized by Asia Cargo News and held in Shanghai at the Wanda Reign on the Bund, Bolloré Logistics received – for the second consecutive year – the Best Green Logistics Operator award in front of the transport and logistics community.

    Mr. Stéphane GUESNIER, Regional Director at Bolloré Logistics Greater China, was honored to receive the award on behalf of the company from the hands of Mr. Eddie CHUI, Assistant General Manager, Aviation Logistics of Airport Authority Hong Kong. “Bolloré Logistics is truly honored to have received this ‘Best Green Logistics Operator’ award for the second year in a row, as we keep extending our efforts towards more sustainability throughout the region,” mentions Mr. Stéphane GUESNIER. “Our Asia-Pacific teams are fully engaged to promote green solution to customers, but also to raise awareness internally through various local green staff activities,” he adds.

    On Thursday, March 29, Bolloré Logistics USA inaugurated its new Foreign Trade Zone facility in Miami, in presence of Clément Leclerc – Consul general of France in Miami, Cyrille Bolloré – Chairman of Bolloré Transport & Logistics and Thierry Ehrenbogen – CEO of Bolloré Logistics.

    The new site of more than 200,000 square feet consolidates freight forwarding and contract logistics activities previously housed at two different locations and will support operational synergies and cargo turnaround time for customers with time-critica! logistics requirements.

    By combining traditional freight forwarding with value added logistics services, coupled with industry vertical expertise, the Miami hub hos become a multimodal platform meeting the needs of its various customers. The new logistics hub is designed to deliver logistics excellence with an end-to-end solution offering and to create value to its customers, especially in the cosmetics, aerospace and travel retail industries.

    The secure facility hos on-site 24/7 guard coverage, biometrie access control, CCTV monitoring and recording, perimeter fencing and fire sprinkler systems engineered to handle specific commodity classifications.     Bolloré Logistics launches its weekly river shuttle in France

    Bolloré Logistics is launching its brand new river transport solution today, with the first commissioning of a river unit service running between Le Havre and Bonneuilsur- Marne via Gennevilliers, near Paris (France).
    This new service is fully consistent with the development strategy undertaken by Bolloré Logistics for the Seine Valley and its drive to develop innovative and eco-friendly solutions to meet customers’ needs.

    Designed as a flexible solution, the service offers several advantages. First of all, the environmental benefits of waterway transport, which is low in pollution and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. Bolloré Logistics will thus be reducing the share of road transport in favour of a barge service, allowing it to ship deliveries to its customers located in the Paris consumer basin. A “last mile” service, primarily operated by trucks running on natural gas, will
    round out this new logistics solution.

    Bolloré Logistics also wants to offer its customers the benefits of optimized cost management by taking advantage of the best port franchises offered by the Seine corridor. “The river corridor solution can help optimise the costs of parking import containers in Le Havre. Our goal is to offer our customers a flexible solution that reduces these costs.” says Laurent Foloppe, Director of the Normandy Region at Bolloré Logistics.

    The Bolloré Logistics motor barge will provide a shuttle service every Wednesday, running between the multimodal terminal of Le Havre and Bonneuil-sur-Marne to the south west of Paris, offering additional stops at the ports of Gennevilliers and Rouen. This solution allows Bolloré Logistics to offer a capacity of more than 5,000 TEUs to Paris’ Ports (Paris port and waterways authority). The motor barge will depart loaded from the two Parisian ports to Rouen
    and Le Havre.

    A Successful Singapore Airshow 2018

    Bolloré Logistics Asia-Pacific is happy to announce that this year’s edition of the Singapore Airshow was a resounding success. This edition of the biennial event was the 6th since the show’s inception in 2008. With a plethora of exhibitors from 38 countries, there were plenty of opportunities to boost Bolloré Logistics’ recognition at Asia’s largest Aerospace and Defense Airshow. This year featured not just one, but two Bolloré locations within the trade show, both at the booth and chalet.

    The Bolloré Logistics booth has been visited by many people. A lot of information was available through our marketing materials such as our dedicated brochures showcasing our tailored services for Airlines & MROs, Aerospace, and Helicopters, as well as our Press Kit. The presence of IER, a company belonging to the Bolloré Group, which develops and deploys mobile and self-service machines for passenger processing, and also offers track and trace tools for supply chains and logistics providers, was also a great success.

    “The entire industry has embraced self-service solutions and technology, which for airlines and airports also enhances customer experience,” says Fabrice Godeau, Managing Director at IER for Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.

    “We have teams of solution designers tailoring systems for clients, and creating end-to-end service for passengers who increasingly demand there be less time and fewer steps involved between entering terminals to their planes taking off.”

    The Bolloré chalet was equally busy between multiple events such as Speed Meetings, Workshops, and daily Business Luncheons. Over the Trade Days from February 6-9, 2018, executives had the chance to network across 24 different Bolloré Logistics entities. Our internal Speed Meetings brought together both Regional and Key Account Managers to create innovative solutions to address concerns in the Aerospace industry. In addition, some workshops were conducted to improve our approach to challenges in Asian countries that require greater finesse in complying with government and regulatory standards.

    Bolloré Logistics’ clients were also welcomed into the chalet during our daily Business Luncheons. Over a scrumptious buffet, clients and executives fostered a better understanding of their needs and goals. Some clients were even treated to special access visits to our notable hubs in order to gain a better sense of our infrastructure and capabilities. Upon their exit of the chalet, clients received a goodie bag containing – amongst other things – a mock-up of a boarding pass which allowed them to enter a lucky draw at our booth.

    Interparfums and Bolloré Logistics Extend their Partnership

    Interparfums and Bolloré Logistics announce the extension of their partnership for a period of three years including 2018, 2019, and 2020.

    Interparfums is a French company that develops perfumes and cosmetics lines on the basis of global exclusive licensing agreements with luxury, fashion or accessories brands that include Montblanc, Jimmy Choo, Coach, Boucheron or Van Cleef & Arpels. They own Lanvin fragrances and Maison Rochas (fashion and perfumes). The company monitors and takes complete care of the perfume life cycle, from its creation to its distribution in France and internationally.

    Bolloré Logistics has accompanied the development of Interparfums’ logistics activities since 1994.

    The logistics partnership started in a 200 m² warehouse located in Petit Quevilly, Upper Normandy, and then was transferred to a dedicated warehouse of 9,000 m² in Grand Couronne in 2000, after which was expanded in 2003 to reach a surface area of 12,000 m².

    Given its strong growth, Interparfums continued their expansion with the construction of an additional 9,000 m2 building to reach a total surface area of 21,000 m2 in 2006. In 2011, activity at Grand Couronne was transferred to Criquebeuf sur seine in a 30 000 m2 building rented by Interparfums.

    To date, a construction permit for the creation of an additional 6,000 m2 cell of was issued with a delivery planned for the second quarter of 2018 therefore increasing the total surface area to 36,000 m2.

    The Bolloré Logistics branch in Grand Couronne provides upstream transport from the packers located in France in the Normandy, Centre Val de Loire and Hauts de France regions, as well as logistics services. It takes care of unloading, reception of products, storage and stock management, ordering, order preparation for France and global destinations by sea and air routes, transport planning, documentation management and returns, thanks to interfacing systems, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) with Interparfums. Bolloré Logistics teams also provide monthly and annual inventories.

    Bolloré Logistics Korea to be the First to Achieve CEIV Pharma Certification

    On January 31st, 2018, Bolloré Logistics Korea became the first transport and logistics company in South Korea to independently achieve the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as Center of Excellence for Independent Validators in Pharmaceutical Logistics (CEIV Pharma).

    The certification is a globally recognized and standardized certification for healthcare airfreight shipments. It is meant to train all the air cargo industry operators on the proper Cold Chain handling of pharmaceutical products requiring temperature control.

    Bolloré Logistics Korea began the certification process according to the IATA CEIV Pharma standard in the third quarter of 2015. The CEIV committee has worked with dedication to bring the internal processes to required expectations.

    This acquisition is part of Bolloré Logistics’ strategic development through external growth.     L’Oréal Collaborates with Bolloré Logistics to Donate Skincare and Haircare Products

    In December 2017, L’Oréal Singapore partnered with Bolloré Logistics Singapore to donate and deliver nearly 12,000 skincare and haircare products to National Cancer Center Singapore (NCCS) and Humanitarian Organization for Migration Economics (HOME).

    L’Oréal Singapore reached out to both philanthropic organizations to provide and transport daily necessity products that would be beneficial to them, while Bolloré Logistics sponsored the pick and pack process.

    Products donated to NCCS will be for cancer patients, survivors’ caregivers, staff and volunteers. Dovetailing on SingHealth’s Giving Week from November to December 2017 which encourages giving back to society, staff were treated to L’Oréal Singapore’s skin and haircare products in appreciation for their conscientiousness in caring for their patients, and also to celebrate life and the friendship forged in the fight against cancer. Paying it forward, staff members at NCCS made donations to the Community Cancer Fund to help needy patients pay for their treatment expenses.

    Products donated to HOME went to migrant and domestic workers in Singapore who face problems such as mistreatment and abuse, and the shelter services provide a place of refuge and social support for those who have suffered or have been trafficked. At the shelter, these hair and body wash products are a daily necessity, and take a huge burden off the expenses needed to run the shelters.

    On November 17th, 2017, Bolloré Logistics received Huawei’s Excellent Core Partner and Best-Quality Logistics Service Awards on the occasion of the Huawei Logistics Core Partner Convention (LCPC 2017) held in Shenzhen, China.

    Mr. Thierry Ehrenbogen, CEO of Bolloré Logistics, was present in Shenzhen to receive the award from the hands of Mr. Yao Fuhai, Member of the Supervisory Board, President of the Procurement Qualification Management Department and Director of the Group Procurement Management Committee at Huawei Technologies Co Ltd. “This is the 8th award we receive. What a lucky number! But it is not thanks to luck that we receive it, it is thanks to the continuous efforts in serving Huawei’s demanding supply chain models for the past 12 years, which allow us to be awarded again this year,” said Mr. Thierry Ehrenbogen at the convention.
