DFS Group Unveals Exclusive Pre-Launch of Bulgari Jewelry Collection in Stores Worldwide

DFS Group, the world’s leading luxury travel retailer, is excited to announce the pre-launch of an exclusive BVLGARI-BVLGARI collection by Italian luxury jewelry brand Bulgari, which will be available only at DFS and T Galleria by DFS stores beginning this holiday season until October 2017. The specially created, one-of-a-kind jewelry collection includes necklaces and bracelets with signature double-sided pendants – one side featuring a Carnelian stone and the other side a Mother of Pearl. With the two contrasting sides, the pendants offer travelers a piece they can interchange according to mood, outfit or occasion.

“We are honored to work with our long-standing partner Bulgari to present our customers with an exclusive set of one of their most iconic jewelry designs,” said Christophe Chaix, Senior Vice President Fashion, Watches, Jewelry and Accessories, DFS Group. “In the coming holiday season, we look forward to exciting our customers with a jewelry set that strongly resonates with their preferences, while elevating their gifting experience with something only DFS can offer.”

The BVLGARI-BVLGARI collection, an emblematic favorite for over four decades, became the ambassador of Bulgari’s tradition of luxury, quality and the finest Italian design. This particular exclusive rendition of the BVLGARI-BVLGARI collection aims to excite and attract customers seeking a limited edition for the holiday season.

The Carnelian in red on one side of the pendant symbolizes happiness and joy and is always the most popular color among Chinese shoppers. In Western culture, this color resembles an iconic Christmas color reminiscent of holly berries. On the flipside, the Mother of Pearl, symbolizing purity with a hint of feminine glamour, is one of the four imperial colors classic to the brand that magnifies the ever modern style of the BVLGARI-BVLGARI collection.

The exclusive BVLGARI-BVLGARI line is now available at all DFS Bulgari boutiques worldwide, except in Abu Dhabi.

  • China ‘no catastrophe’ says Bulgari CEO

China ‘no catastrophe’ says Bulgari CEO

Slowing luxury sales growth in China is “not a catastrophe, it’s a correction” says Bulgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin.

In an interview with international business news organisation Bloomberg, during the World Retail Congress in Rome, Babin warns of overstating China’s current slowdown

A decline in the luxury sector began last year when the Chinese central government announced a clampdown on graft and gift giving and was later exacerbated by a sharp devaluation of the Chinese currency which triggered a slump in share prices.

But in the interview – watch it here online – Babin points out that the share price declines have only brought world markets back “to what we all considered a good level last year”.

He said China’s economy is still growing at about 6.8 per cent which produced enough customers to buy Bulgari’s luxury jewellery.

While not disclosing figures, Babin said Bulgari’s July and August figures were “exactly in line with the first semester”despite the currency and stock market realignments.

  • Bulgari Macau’s new generation boutique

    Bulgari Macau’s new generation boutique

Bulgari Macau’s new luxury boutique at the Galaxy features the new architectural design concept developed by Peter Marion.

Following the renovation of the Via Condotti flagship in Rome, the new architectural design concept is being rolled out by the LVMH brand in the most prominent locations worldwide, mirroring the brand’s signature architectural elements and expressing its Mediterranean origins and Roman traditions with a classic Italian approach to modernity.

The Galaxy Macau store, which began trading in July, is thus one of the first in the world to carry the new image.

Bulgari says the dominant idea is expressed by “a classic geometry open to modern interpretation, in a continuous interplay between innovation and tradition”.

The 290 sqm space encompasses the brand’s design key elements, such as the three institutional giant windows alternate with three Condotti showcases and the Condotti eight point star, still present in the original historical flagship in Rome Condotti 10.

The boutique also houses some furniture selected by Peter Marino himself and conceived by the Italian designers who have had link with the Bulgari heritage, such as the product counters by Carlo Scarpa, the sales tables by Franco Albini, or the central Eros marble table by Angelo Mangiarotti.

The brand touch is also provided throughout the areas transformed into a Bulgari art-gallery: walls are decorated with Vintage most famous endorsements of celebrities who have been truly fan or ambassadors of the brand’s Italian exciting lifestyle.

The boutique features an exclusive Bridal, Men, Accessories and VIP area, where the most precious creations can be viewed in total privacy.

Bulgari Galaxy Macau is located at Shop G094 on the ground floor.

  • Bulgari to open 300th boutique this year

Bulgari to open 300th boutique this year

LVMH’s watch and jewellery flagship brand Bulgari is eyeing double digit growth in 2015, despite the lacklustre global luxury market.

Bulgari expects to surpass 300 boutiques this year, part of a strategy by CEO Jean-Christophe Babin to maintain its position as one of the fastest growing brands in the Louis Vuitton group’s 60-strong stable.

“We had a very good beginning of the year, so all else remaining equal, we think that we will do better this year than in 2014 with a double-digit growth rate,” said Babin in an interview with Reuters.

Bulgari ended 2013 with 290 stores globally and expects to end 2015 with as many as 312.

LVMH does not break down its trading figures by brand, but analysts estimate Bulgari achieves annual sales of between 1.5 billion and 2 billion euros.

It is ranked third in size behind Cartier and Tiffany.
