Darrell Lea Unveils New Choc Logs: A Healthier, Shareable Treat In Two Delectable Flavours

Darrell Lea, a renowned confectionery brand, has broadened its product range with the introduction of a new Choc Logs chocolate bar. This new offering is available in two distinct flavours and is being marketed across a wide array of major retailers throughout the country.

    What the Choc Logs Offer

Choc Logs are composed of a soft milk chocolate core encased in two flavours of liquorice – Raspberry and Original. These delightful treats are packaged in multi-stick snack packs that are available for a recommended retail price (RRP) of $3.

The confectionery company has ensured that Choc Logs are a healthier alternative to other competing sweet treats by making them free from palm oil, artificial colours, and artificial flavours.

    Creating Shareable Moments

Jane James, the head of marketing at Darrell Lea, emphasised the role these new products can play in fostering connections. “The Choc Logs range is designed to cultivate enjoyable little moments that can be shared with others, be it friends, family, or a special someone,” James stated.

According to James, the Raspberry variant in particular has garnered immense popularity among the younger demographic. As such, the company decided to highlight this flavour in their new product. “We wanted to showcase this flavour and introduce an exciting and playful option for on-the-go snacking. Our goal is to reimagine our classic offerings in a manner that feels fresh and invites sharing,” she added.

    Previous Product Collaborations

Darrell Lea is no stranger to innovative product development. In 2023, the company partnered with Campos Coffee to successfully develop a coffee-flavoured chocolate bar.

Darrell Lea cooks up 70 tonnes of Christmas Puddings

Calm down, Australia. It might have been a tough, tough year… but at least Darrell Lea Christmas puddings have returned to supermarket shelves to make things feel joyful again.

Handcrafted in Australia, these puddings have a light and fluffy nougat center, are smothered in creamy milk chocolate, and topped with edible Christmas holly.

Darrell Lea made over 70 tonnes of puddings this year, using 25 tonnes of milk chocolate and 10 tonnes of desiccated coconut!

These legendary nougat treats were first launched by the Aussie confectionery company in the 1940s and have been selling out yearly ever since.

It goes without saying that the $10 puddings are still Darrell Lea’s best-selling Christmas product.

The nougat pudding isn’t the only item on our Christmas list this year. Also returning are their (completely addictive) Crunchy Christmas Balls, their famous Rocklea Road, ginger pieces smothered in dark chocolate, and Caramel Snows (featuring caramel fudge drizzled with white fondant and dark chocolate).

It’s beginning to taste a lot like Christmas.
