    Datsun India Rolls Out Benefits Up To 40,000 In July 2021

    Datsun India has been offering lucrative benefits on its entire model range for the last few months now. The carmaker has listed a bunch of offers worth up to ₹ 40,000 on its website for the month of July 2021. It includes cash benefits, exchange bonus and online booking bonus, corporate discount and special benefits. These offers are applicable on purchase on or before 30th July 2021. Do note, the amount may vary as per the city or state you are located in.

    Customers booking the Redi-Go online via the brand’s website will get an additional cash benefit of ₹  5,000

    The Redi-Go entry-level car is up for sale with maximum benefits of up to ₹ 39,000. It comprises cash benefit and exchange bonus of up to ₹ 20,000 and up to ₹ 15,000 respectively. Datsun is also providing benefits of ₹ 4,000 for select corporate and government employees. Apart from this, there’s also an online booking bonus worth ₹ 5,000, which is applicable for bookings made via Datsun’s official website. This benefit will be passed at the time of retail.

    There’s also a special offer of ₹ 4,000 for Doctors and Chartered Accountants. Additionally, the carmaker is also offering an EMI Holiday for 3 Months to customers buying the Redi-Go, which means the monthly EMIs will only start 3 months after the purchase of the vehicle.

    The Go 5-seater hatchback is also a part of the Datsun’s benefits this month. It gets total benefits of up to ₹ 40,000 which includes cash discount and exchange benefit of up to ₹ 20,000 each. Similar benefits are also offered on the Go Plus seven-seater MPV. It gets total benefits of up to ₹ 40,000 which includes a cash benefit of ₹ 20,000 and an exchange offer of ₹ 20,000. Do note, exchange benefits on the Datsun cars can be availed only at NIC-enabled dealerships.

    Datsun GO & GO+ Updated With Vehicle Dynamic Control

    Datsun India has updated GO and GO+ hatchbacks with Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) technology. The updated Datsun GO and the Datsun GO+ get enhanced safety systems thanks to the new tech on offer. The VDC system monitors wheel speed, steering wheel position, and lateral acceleration via onboard sensors to provide electronic stability control. The system also facilitates a safer driving experience by responding to the car’s oversteering and understeering inputs. The GO and GO+ now also comes with anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake force distribution (EBD), brake assist (BA) and traction control system (TCS).

    Commenting on the updated versions, Hardeep Singh Brar, Director Sales and Commercial, Nissan India said, “Datsun is committed to transform customer experience with new and innovative products. Underscoring our focus on progressive mobility backed by safety, technology, style and convenience, the New Datsun GO and GO+ now comes with VDC so that the Datsun owner can drive with confidence.”

    In addition, the new Datsun GO will be available in a new ‘Vivid Blue’ colour option, while the cars now get the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system as standard across all variants with smartphone connectivity via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with voice recognition. The hatchbacks have also been updated with rear parking sensors and dual front airbags as standard, in a bid to comply with the upcoming safety regulations.

    The Datsun GO and GO+ received comprhensive facelifts last year bringing a premium touch, better features and attractive pricing to the models. Prices for the GO hatchback start at ₹ 3.32 lakh going up to ₹ 5.02 lakh, while the multi-seater GO+ is priced from ₹ 3.86 lakh for the base trim that goes up to ₹ 5.74 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi) for the range-topping version. The GO+ will soon face competition two back-to-back launches including the Renault Triber and Maruti Suzuki’s Wagon R-based sub 4-metre MPV, both of which are slated to launch this year.

    Nissan India To Increase Prices Of The Datsun GO And GO+

    The 2018 Datsun GO and GO+ will be getting more expensive from April. Nissan India has announced to increase the prices of both the models by up to 4 per cent which will be effective from next month i.e. April 1. Nissan has decided to increase the prices after a series of price hike announcements made by other carmakers such as Mahindra, Tata Motors and Renault. Similar to other carmakers, even Nissan has cited rising input costs as the primary reason for the price hike.

    Hardeep Singh Brar, Director Sales and commercial, Nissan Motor India said, “Datsun believes in offering accessible and value-for-money products powered by Japanese engineering. With the rise in input costs and several economic factors, we are making a nominal price adjustment to our Datsun GO and GO+ models.”

    Nissan had launched the facelifted Datsun GO and GO+ last year after giving both the models an extensive update. The top-end variants of the 2018 Datsun GO and GO+ come equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system and get some segment first features like Daytime Running Lights and Vehicle Dynamic Control. Both the cars are powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine which produces 67 bhp and 104 Nm of peak torque.

  • Nissan recalls 932 units of Datsun redi-Go in India

    Nissan recalls 932 units of Datsun redi-Go in India

    Japanese auto major Nissan is recalling 932 units of entry level car redi-Go from its Datsun brand in India to fix faulty fuel system.

    “Datsun is conducting a voluntary recall campaign on certain India-manufactured Datsun redi-GO vehicles to inspect the fuel hose and fix a clip at no cost to the customer,” Nissan Motor India said in a statement.

    Datsun will start notifying affected owners from this month.

    The recall will affect units manufactured till May 18, 2016, a company official said.

    The redi-GO hit the market on June 7 this year and has sold over 14,000 units.

    Datsun Hits Record High in RI in First Year

    Japanese carmaker Datsun, which has just returned to Indonesia after its last appearance in the 80s, has recorded a staggering sales figure in the country through the sales of their low-cost green cars the Go Plus Panca and the Go Panca models. Datsun sold nearly 30,000 units of both models since 2014.

    “It has become a record high among the three major markets of Datsun International, which are South Africa, India and Russia,” Datsun Indonesia head Indriani Hadiwidjaya said in Jakarta on Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Datsun recorded a monthly sales figure of 2,600 units in Indonesia, while sales in India only saw 1,000 cars per month.

    From the 23,000 Datsun cars sold last year and about 7,000 cars in the first four months this year, 70% came from the Go Plus Panca, while the rest from the Go Panca (hatchback type). Indriani said the figure proved that 5+2 passenger MPV cars are still favored by Indonesian consumers.

    She added Datsun was looking forward to boosting its sales ahead of the Idul Fitri period from June-July. Nissan Motor Indonesia, Datsun’s holding company, through its CEO Stephanus Ardianto said the company was gearing up to launch the Datsun Go Plus Panca and the latest version of the Go Panca to draw on the momentum.  “The Idul Fitri season usually becomes the highest sales point because many consumers purchase new cars,” said Indriani.

    Datsun will also release another product in Indonesia this year but balks at revealing the type and release date.

    Indriani said Datsun was still focusing in expanding its market for its two products to cities outside of Java. “Currently, our biggest market is still Jakarta,” Indriani said.  “We will focus our MPV market on other cities and consumers apparently are still interested in cars with manual transmissions.”
