Savor the Flavor: Gelatissimo and Pistachio Papi Unveil Limited Edition Gelato Twists

Gelatissimo, the popular gelato brand, has joined forces with Pistachio Papi, a renowned pistachio spread manufacturer, to launch two unique, limited-edition gelato flavours for their customers across the country.

    Pistachio Papi’s Unique Flavours

This collaboration brings forth Pistachio Papi White Chocolate and Pistachio Papi Raspberry Cheesecake, two distinctive flavours which will be available for a limited period at all 57 Gelatissimo outlets nationwide.

The Pistachio Papi White Chocolate flavour is a unique blend of pistachio and salted white chocolate gelato, enriched with roasted pistachios and a layer of Pistachio Papi spread. This combination offers a delightful fusion of creamy sweetness and the distinctive crunch of pistachios.

On the other hand, the Pistachio Papi Raspberry Cheesecake features a delicious raspberry cheesecake gelato, complemented by an oat crumble and pistachio spread. The result is a textured, nutty finish that delivers a unique taste experience.

    Striving for Bold Flavours

Gelatissimo is well-known for its dedicated team of flavour enthusiasts, who are continuously exploring new possibilities to bring innovative gelato experiences to Australian consumers. According to Jeremy Roth, CEO of Gelatissimo, partnering with Pistachio Papi was an ideal opportunity to create something unique and exciting.

One store has opened in Sunny Laguna in Phuket, Thailand, another in Hawaii’s Royal Hawaiian Center at Waikiki and a third at Jewel Changi Airport in Singapore. In Australia, the company opened stores in Rhodes, NSW, and Highpoint, Victoria.

Gelatissimo debuts new gelato pint range in Coles

The frozen food aisle at one major supermarket has just gotten a brand new addition with a popular dessert making its grocery shop debut.

Ice cream chain Gelatissimo has launched tubs of ice cream that can be picked up at your local Coles supermarket, making some of the brand’s favorite flavors available outside of its own stores for the first time.

The five flavours will be available from September 28, with a price discount for the first two weeks on shelves.

The flavours include Caramel Cookie Butter, Cheesecake Swirl, Decadent Chocolate, Peanut Butter Brownie and Italian Hazelnut.

“We developed this range with our loyal family of customers in mind,” Gelatissimo’s head of product innovation Filiz Kaya said.

“We looked at our most popular flavours as well as ones that have stood the test of time, then also considered current trends both here and around the world to create this range.”

The products will be available at Coles.

Gelatissimo has 42 stores in Australia as well as 26 others around the world.

It comes as the gelato business celebrates it’s 20th anniversary, with plans for several new stores in Australia by the end of the year.

  • Gelatissimo plans expansion to India and Bangladesh

Gelatissimo plans expansion to India and Bangladesh

Gelatissimo, Australia’s largest franchised gelato chain, will open stores in India and Bangladesh next month.

The openings mark the privately owned company’s latest international expansion, joining franchises in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

Gelatissimo CEO Filipe Barbosa CEO said that in both India and Bangladesh, populations are booming and the average spend per head on eating out and luxury goods is growing rapidly. Coupled with a love for desserts and all things Australian, Gelatissimo and the franchisees see a great potential for growth in both regions.

Although gelato is a newer concept to both markets, the ice-cream and premium dessert categories has expanded quickly and is forecast to increase significantly over the next five years.

“The stores will be fitted in the internationally recognisable Gelatissimo branding and serve the brand’s best-loved flavours and products,” added Indian master franchisee Sangeeta Dumpeta.

Bangladesh’s Nilesh Jamnadas added, “The stores have been adapted with localised features and will serve some new flavours, adapted for local taste buds”.

Since its launch in 2002, Gelatissimo has grown to 45 stores across Australia, with a further 17 overseas. The store launches in Bangladesh and India will take the total to 66 outlets  globally.

Gelatissimo launched in Singapore in 2005 and has been expanding its overseas footprint since then in the Philippines, China, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia -along with a failed foray into Malaysia.

The franchisees in both Bangladesh and India are expected to open at least five stores in each market over the next year.

“Bangladesh and India represent big opportunities for us and our partners and we look forward to making it a sweet success,” said Barbosa.

  • Gelatissimo seeks new Malaysian partner

    Gelatissimo seeks new Malaysian partner

Australian gelato chain Gelatissimo is searching for a new franchise partner in Malaysia – but says its expansion strategy in Asia and beyond remains on track.

Gelatissimo’s sole store in Malaysia, at The Gardens mall in Mid Valley, closed late last year after the partnership proved less than successful, but Carlos Antonius, the company’s international franchise development manager, says it remains committed to Malaysia.

“We are currently in the market for a new franchise partner to capitalise on the brand equity already developed in Malaysia,” he told InsideRetail.Asia by email.

Meanwhile, Gelatissimo operates successfully in international markets of Singapore, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the Philippines.

“We are working collaboratively with our existing franchise partners to further develop our presence in these markets and are continually reviewing all aspects of our operations to drive the business forward,” said Antonius.

“At the same time we are investigating additional market entry options into South East Asia and the Americas.”

Gelatissimo launched in Australia with a concept store in 2002 and after quickly finding favour with customers, commenced franchising two years later.
