    Airasia India announces 21 weekly direct flights between Surat and Bengaluru, Delhi and Kolkata

    AIX Connect, a subsidiary of Air India, announced the launch of daily direct flights connecting Surat, Gujarat with Bengaluru, Delhi, and Kolkata, and connecting itineraries to Bhubaneswar, Kochi, Guwahati, Goa, Hyderabad, Ranchi, Bagdogra, Lucknow, Chennai, Jaipur, Visakhapatnam, Srinagar starting March 3, 2023. The addition of Surat, Gujarat, lays the foundation of the airline’s expansion plans in the region. The launch fares are ₹4,499 for Surat-Bengaluru, ₹4,299 for Surat-Delhi and ₹5,499 for Surat-Kolkata. Bookings can be made through the airline’s website www.airasia.co.in, mobile app and other major booking channels. Members of the Tata NeuPass rewards program can look forward to earning NeuCoins with every booking.

    Airasia India will begin operations to and from Surat, with 21 weekly flights at convenient times. Surat is the second largest city of Gujarat and is known for its diamond-cutting and polishing industries. Surat is a thriving commercial center with a rich history and culture and offers a range of business opportunities, as well as a variety of tourist attractions, including temples, museums, gardens, and more.

    AirAsia India Offers Flights To Goa

    AirAsia India is offering flight tickets starting below Rs. 1,400 on select routes in a limited-period sale. AirAsia India is offering tickets starting at Rs. 1,399 on flights from Bengaluru to destinations including Goa under a promotional scheme, according to the airline’s website – airasia.com. The AirAsia India offer requires flyers to make advance bookings, which are open till December 31, 2017, the airline noted. The all-inclusive fares offered under the scheme are applicable on travel till June 30, 2018, AirAsia India noted on its website. Flight tickets starting at an all-inclusive Rs. 1,399 are also available on flights from Bengaluru to Hyderabad and Kochi, it noted.

    AirAsia India offers on flights come days before New Year 2018, amid high competition in the domestic civil aviation market. Many airlines operating in the domestic market offer discounts around the New Year holiday season to attract passengers during a period marked with high demand, say analysts.

    A search on the AirAsia bookings portal on Friday showed tickets for flights from Bengaluru to Goa on January 17 were available for booking at Rs. 1,899.

    AirAsia India has announced an additional flight connecting Bengaluru to Goa and Pune starting December 18. The airline currently operates one daily flight between Bengaluru and Pune, and with this additional flight, the airline will operate two daily flights connecting the two cities.

    AirAsia India will also operate its fourth daily connection between Bengaluru and Goa starting December 18. Speaking about the additional frequency, AirAsia CEO and MD Amar Abrol said, “Our flights from Bengaluru to Pune are doing extremely well, and so are our three existing connections to the party city of India. We see immense demand in this sector. We are constantly working towards providing our guests the most convenient options for them to pick from. We are confident that this new connection is going to be well received by our guests.”

    AirAsia India currently flies to 11 destinations with its two hubs in Bengaluru New Delhi covering Chandigarh, Jaipur, Guwahati, Imphal, Pune, Goa, Vizag, Kochi and Hyderabad.

    AirAsia (India) Ltd is a joint venture between Tata Sons Limited and AirAsia, with AirAsia Investment Limited holding 49%, Tata Sons Limited holding 49% and Mr. S. Ramadorai (Chairman) and Mr. R. Venkataramanan, two directors of the company in their individual capacity holding 0.5% and 1.5% shareholding respectively in the airline.

    AirAsia India today announced an additional flight connecting Bengaluru to Goa and Pune starting fourth week this month.

    The airline currently operates one daily connection between Bengaluru and Pune, and with this additional flight, the airline will operate two daily flights connecting the two cities, the company said in a release issued here.

    AirAsia India will also operate its fourth daily connection between Bengaluru and Goa starting December 18, 2016, it added.

    “Our flights from Bengaluru to Pune are doing extremely well and so are our three existing connections to Goa. We see immense demand in this sector. We are constantly working towards providing our guests the most convenient options for them to pick from.     AirAsia Now Offers Tickets at Rs 1,290 All-Inclusive

    AirAsia India has come up with yet another promotional offer and is offering tickets for Rs 1,290, inclusive of taxes.

    The travel period to avail the AirAsia offer is between January 15, 2016 – April 14, 2016 and tickets must be booked by September 27, 2015.

    While tickets from Bengaluru to Goa or to Kochi are available for Rs 1,290, fares from the IT capital to Delhi are priced at Rs 3,490. The AirAsia promotional offer is valid across its flying network.

    Airlines have been announcing with slew of offers almost every other week in a bid to garner market share in a fiercely competitive environment.

    These promotional schemes by airlines have ensured a spike in the number of people travelling by air. Passengers carried by domestic airlines during January to August 2015 were 523 lakh as against 433.24 lakh during the corresponding period of the previous year – a growth of 21 per cent.

    AirAsia launches 8th route to India

    AirAsia has expanded its route network from its main base at Kuala Lumpur (KUL) with the addition of a new service to Goa (GOI) in India. The thrice-weekly service (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) on the 3,360-kilometre route launched on 27 August and will be flown by the carrier’s A320s. The route is not served by any other carrier.

    Goa becomes AirAsia’s eighth route to India as it already serves Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Tiruchirappalli and Visakhapatnam. In total AirAsia now serves 68 destinations non-stop from the Malaysian capital.

    For Goa Airport this is the sixth international destination served after Doha (with Qatar Airways), Dubai (Air India), Kuwait City (Air India), Muscat (Oman Air) and Sharjah (Air Arabia).
