    Singaporean Woman Fined $15,300 Over Lamborghini Sale Featuring Mileage Discrepancy

    A woman from Singapore, named Virginia Wong, has been mandated by the court to pay SGD20,000 (US$15,300) in damages to dealership Purpose Automobiles due to a discrepancy in the mileage of a Lamborghini Urus she sold them. Wong sold the vehicle to Purpose Automobiles in April 2023, assuring them its mileage was at 9,000 kilometers.

    However, a third-party inspection later uncovered that the actual mileage was over 18,000 km, which was twice the amount initially stated by Wong. Following this discovery, Purpose Automobiles took legal action against Wong, claiming SGD145,500 in damages. They argued that they lost a potential sale due to the SUV’s incorrect mileage.

    Court Finds No Breach of Contract

    On November 17, District Judge Sim Mei Ling found that the failed sale was not a result of Wong’s contract violation. Therefore, Purpose Automobiles was not eligible to receive the profits they might have obtained if the deal had proceeded. The judge pointed out that the potential buyer chose not to finalize the purchase once it became apparent that the car’s warranty had been voided by the authorized dealer.

    Judge Sim clarified that Purpose Automobiles was only entitled to compensation for the losses directly linked to Wong’s breach, and not for damages related to the warranty cancellation. As a result, Wong was instructed to pay SGD20,000 in damages, plus interest. This amount represents the difference in the car’s value once the actual mileage was taken into account.

    Judge Sim also mentioned that there was no concrete evidence showcasing what caused the mileage discrepancy or if Wong manipulated the odometer.

    Purpose Automobiles initially acquired the car from Wong, the registered owner, for SGD908,000 in April 2023. In June 2023, a potential buyer expressed interest in purchasing the car for SGD965,000, pending an inspection at authorized dealer Eurosports Auto.

    It was during this inspection that it became evident that the mileage recorded on several independent electronic components, and shown on the diagnostics protocol downloaded during recovery, was twice the amount displayed on the vehicle’s odometer.

    Purpose Automobiles explained that the original sale did not go through, and they were only able to sell the Lamborghini Urus for SGD800,000 in August 2023.

    Lamborghini returns to Vietnam

    Luxury car brand Lamborghini is set to return to Vietnam in the second quarter after disappearing for over a year.

    The Italian company has selected S&S Automotive as its new distributor in Vietnam to replace CT Wearnes. It did not state why the partnership with CT Wearnes ended.

    S&S Automotive, which also distributes luxury brands Rolls-Royce and McLaren, said the new Lamborghini showroom is being constructed and will begin operation in the second quarter.

    The showroom will be in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, where the other two brands Rolls-Royce and McLaren are available.

    S&S Automotive has also put into operation a new maintenance facility in Tan Binh District for both Lamborghini and Rolls-Royce cars.

    Lamborghini was considered the first luxury car brand to enter Vietnam when it launched a showroom in Hanoi, which was open until 2018.

    The brand then opened a new showroom in District 7, HCMC, by the end of 2020 via CT Wearnes.

    As most car import activities shut down early last year, CT Wearnes showrooms in District 7 stopped displaying cars of French brand Renault and Lamborghini.

Every body panel has been built with the complex bespoke hexagonal LEGO Technic elements which interconnect.

Interiors are also top-class for the LEGO model with signature touches like the brick steering wheel with the Lamborghini logo and the Italian flag as well. LEGO has also built special racing seats and dashboard controls for the replica. 154 unique elements from LEGO, which included 20 molded pieces, were created for building this replica. This indicates the design of the Lamborghini Sian right down to the very last detail and mirrors the dimensions perfectly.

    Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD Spyder India Launch Date Revealed

    The Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD Spyder went on sale globally last year and is all set to hit our market on June 8, 2021. The car is powered by the same 5.2 litre V10 motor from the coupe version. It’s also the same engine that powers the regular Huracan but Lamborghini has upgraded the engine with bits like titanium valves, revised intake, and lighter exhaust. This enables the car to churn out a whopping 602 bhp and 560 Nm of peak torque although it is about 28 bhp and 40 Nm lesser than the AWD version. The engine comes mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission then sends power to the rear wheels.

    Despite power and torque figures being almost identical to the RWD Coupe, the Spyder is marginally slower taking 3.5 seconds to clock triple-digit speeds, which is 0.2 seconds slower than the RWD Coupe. Then, it can clock a top speed of 324 kmph while the coupe does 325 kmph for the coupe, which is a minor difference. The Huracan also gets Lamborghini’s Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva, a new active aerodynamic tech allowing the car to switch between maximum downforce and low drag setups by adjusting flaps at the front and rear. This helps the car to create maximum vertical downforce. Lamborghini also says that it has specially tuned the car’s Performance Traction Control System for potent torque delivery and traction to maintain maximum agility even around corners. The carmaker claims that dynamic performance will be identical to that of the RWD Coupe.

    Now speaking about its looks, the RWD Spyder gets similar updates we already saw the RWD Coupe which also bagged our sports car of the year award. It gets a new front splitter, bespoke rear diffuser, and a new rear bumper. Compared to the RWD Coupe, the Spyder is about 120 kg heavier due to the structural updates and the mechanism for the folding soft-top roof. It takes 17 seconds to operate the roof and at speeds of up to 50 kmph. The car also sports a rear windscreen that can be raised and lowered individually.

    Automobili Lamborghini took part for the first time in the Days of Speed on the ice of Lake Baikal, with the Lamborghini Urus and it set the 1,000-meter record, averaging a top speed of 114 kmph from a standing start. Piloted by the 18-time Days of Speed Russian record-holder Andrey Leontyev, the maximum recorded speed of the Urus during the record-breaking sprint was an impressive 298 kmph, despite significant warming of the ice on the world’s deepest lake. During the practice runs, the Urus even managed to reach a maximum speed of 302 kmph. Official data registered by the FIA and the RAF (Russian Automobile Federation) will be published in April.

    The annual Days of Speed festival was held between 10 and 13 March. Organised by LAV-racing company, this official sports event is dedicated to setting record speeds on ice. The event strictly adheres to all regulations of the FIA (Federation Internationale de l’Automobile) and RAF (Russian Automobile Federation).

    Automobili Lamborghini has recently rolled out the 10,000th Urus SUV from its manufacturing plant in Sant’Agata Bolognese. The milestone car with chassis number 10,000 is destined for Russia and it comes in the new Nero Noctis Matt Black color. This particular Lamborghini Urus also comes with the carbon fiber package and two-tone Ad Personam interiors in black and orange, complemented by more carbon fiber components for the cabin.

    The Lamborghini Urus made its global debut in December 2017 and it has been the top-selling model for the Italian marque, globally, as well as in India. In fact, in 2019, the first full year that the Urus was present in the market, Lamborghini sold 4,962 units worldwide, out of which close to 50 units were sold in India. The same year, driven by Urus’ sales, the company’s total volume increased by a massive 43 percent, to 8,205 units, as against the 5,750 Lamborghini vehicles sold during the 2018 calendar year.

    Interestingly, it appears as though Lamborghini had anticipated the massive demand the Urus will garner and was prepared for it. Before the launch of the SUV, the company has expanded its facility from 80,000 square-meter to 160,000 square-meter, and dedicated an entire assembly line, Manifattura Lamborghini, for the Urus. The assembly line itself is based on the so-called Factory 4.0 model, which integrates new production technologies to support workers throughout the assembly operations.

    As for the car itself, the Lamborghini Urus recently received a new exterior color package called the Urus Pearl Capsule range, which includes new two-tone color options combined with glossy black roof, rear diffuser, spoiler lip, and other details. Customers can choose from three base colors – Verde Mantis (green), Arancio Borealis (orange), and Giallo Inti (yellow). The new range is for MY2021 Urus. The SUV is powered by a 4.0-litre Twin Turbo V8 engine, which is tuned to produce 641 bhp and 850 Nm of peak torque. The SUV can go from 0-100 kmph in 3.6 seconds and reach 200 kmph in 12.8 seconds, before reaching the electronically limited top speed of 306 kmph.

The event is scheduled for July 8, 2020.

    However, the company hasn’t revealed the exact vehicle that will be revealed next week. Currently, there are several wild guesses and speculations regarding the supercar that the Italian marque will be revealing in the next few days. Going by the teaser image, the Lamborghini has used phrases such as ‘ahead of its time’ and ‘newest creation’, hints that the upcoming car could be a new model or even a one-off concept.

    It is also believed that the Italian brand could unveil a new iteration or a derivative of the Lamborghini’s Sian FKP 37 which was officially introduced last year. Several rumour mills are claiming that the upcoming car could be a Sian FKP 37 roadster, however, several reports suggest that all units of the car have been sold out already. Notably, more details about the Sian roadster are rare at this moment

    Lamborghini is believed to be working on three new supercars which include SCV12 track car, which has already been teased. The company is also believed to be building a Sian Roadster.     Lamborghini Urus Gets A New Pearl Capsule Design Edition

    Italian Supercar marque Lamborghini’s first SUV in the market, the Urus has just got a new design edition to its name. The Pearl capsule edition aims to make the Urus even more appealing than before by using dual color tones outside and inside the car along with black accents at several places. The Urus Pearl Capsule is available on Urus model year 2021, alongside an extended range of colors and features following the first full year of Urus production in 2019.

    The customer has the option to choose from three base colors. These are Verde Mantis (green), Arancio Borialis (orange) and Giallo Inti (yellow). This base color is complemented well by the use of gloss black paint which has been applied on the lower bumpers, locker covers as well as the roof. The 23-inch taigete alloys get a shiny black color to match with the base color accent. To match the exterior paint the two-tone theme is carried forward into the cabin as well. Base colour accents and stitching is seen at many places like seats, cup holders, dashboard and grab handles.

    The 2021 Model year Urus also features an optional park assist feature

    Lamborghini’s New V12 Track Car Teased

    Lamborghini working on a track-specific model was known to us, and finally the supercar maker has released a teaser video of its upcoming track-only machine. While the video primarily focuses on its razor-sharp styling and bodywork, we also get a whiff of what the humongous 6.5-litre, V12’s roar will sound like. It has not given much details about the model though, and all we know at this point of time is that it will churn out close to 830 bhp which is mind-boggling.

    As far as the construction is concerned, it sports a roof-mounted intake and a gigantic wing at the rear to generate heavy downforce. There are also dual air inlets on the hood and a detailed look will give away the sharp sculpting on the hood and along with the profile. Though we still can’t see all of it, since it’s just a teaser, the rear too looks muscular with massive haunches and there is a big diffuser sporting dual exhaust outlets.

    Lamborghini’s track division- Squadra Corse had mentioned that the track car will be manufactured in limited numbers and we expect just 40 units of it to roll off the assembly line. Towards the end, the video also hints at a new model which is the Huracan Super Trofeo Omologato (STO) that will be powered by the 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 motor that will belt out close to 640 bhp.

    2020 Lamborghini Huracan Evo Rear-Wheel Drive Breaks Cover

    It’s hard to think about how can the Huracan be more engaging for the driver without losing control. Lamborghini seemed to have a similar thought very recently and has introduced an unfiltered, unadulterated version of the supercar with the new Huracan Evo rear-wheel drive. The new Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD is the newest addition to the Huracan family and keeps that Italian bull only on its hind legs. Admittedly, the Huracan Evo RWD makes less power than the AWD version with the 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 belting out 594 bhp, about 29 horses less than the standard Huracan Evo. However, what it promises is a lot of sideways action.

    Essentially, the 2020 Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD is the no-frills edition of the two-door coupe, which in Italian supercar speak means “more fun.” So, the car misses out on the front axle, the rear steering and gets a power cut. There are some nifty additions though that aim to make the driving experience more seamless and exhilarating. This includes the new P-TCS or Performance Traction Control System that is unique to the 2020 Huracan Evo RWD and lets you slide and skate during acceleration, according to the manufacturer. Lamborghini also says that P-TCS never cuts torque abruptly. Instead, it will feed extra torque before the car gets into a slide and then will back off more gently, in the Sport mode. The system will also allow the car to exit corners more quickly in the Corsa mode, lending more control to the driver.

    Compared to the older Huracan LP580-2, the new Huracan Evo RWD gets about 30 per cent oversteer, as per Lamborghini’s proprietary fun calculator. The car weighs 1389 kg, which is lighter than the AWD version and has a top speed of 3.3 seconds. Visually, the 2020 Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD is difficult to distinguish from the standard versions but take a hard look and you’ll find a new front splitter and fins in the front intakes while a new diffuser is visible at the rear. The car also wears its own shade of yellow – Giallo Belenus but can be ordered in a plethora of colour and leather options to match your taste.

    After launching the Lamborghini Huracan Evo coupe earlier this year in February, the Italian marque is now ready to bring in its convertible version – the Huracan Evo Spyder. The new drop-top Hurcan Evo is slated to be launched in India on October 10, with the inauguration of Lamborghini’s new showroom in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Compared to the regular coupe version, the convertible Huracan Evo is 120 kg heavier and comes with an electro-hydraulic roof-folding mechanism that can lower the soft-top in 17 seconds at speeds of up to 50 kmph.

    The Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder comes with a familiar design with an 8.4-inch capacitive touchscreen infotainment system

    Visually, the Lamborghini Huracan Evo is identical to the coupe version of the car, save for body-coloured bumpers instead of black ones, and blacked-out A-pillars. At the rear, this too comes with the new ducktail spoiler balanckt downforce and drag on the two-door, while the underbody has been revised to make it more slippery and aerodynamic friendly. The cabin, at the same time, comes with a familiar design with an 8.4-inch capacitive touchscreen infotainment system that offers controls for a bunch of in-car function like climate control, cell-phone connectivity and much more. The system also gets Apple CarPlay along with voice command system and a dual-camera telemetry system with a high-capacity hard disk as part of the features package.

    Powering the new Lamborghini Huracan Evo is the same 5.2-litre V10 motor that powers the coupe version. In fact, the engine is tuned to churn out the same 631 bhp at 8,000 rpm and develop the same peak torque of 600 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 7-speed Lamborghini Doppia Frizione (LDF) dual-clutch transmission and comes with an all-wheel-drive system. The Huracan Evo goes from 0-100 kmph in 3.1 seconds, that is 0.2 seconds slower than the coupe version, and 0-200 kmph is achieved in 9.3 seconds, and that is 0.3 seconds slower than the coupe version.     Lamborghini Sian Revealed Ahead Of The 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show

    Lamborghini has already revealed the details of what will be there at the upcoming 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show. It’s the all-new Lamborghini Sian which will be the first hybrid supercar that the brand has ever done. The SVJ sourced 6.5-litre, Naturally Aspirated, V12 engine is coupled with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system which adds 33 bhp more taking the total maximum output to a staggering 808 bhp at 8500 rpm, enough to clock triple digit speeds in under 2.8 seconds. It is the most powerful production Lamborghini ever built and can reach a top speed of 350 kmph.

    The Sian is anything but a fancy supercar. It’s been commissioned to perform and not just to impress with all that it packs in. The most interesting of all is the first ever supercapacitor system debuted in the Aventador and Sian has built on it immensely. It’s three times more powerful than a similarly sized battery which also weighs just 34 kg offering an impressive weight-to-power ratio of 1.0 kg / bhp. The braking system also works to completely charge the supercapacitor every time it brakes. The stored energy provides an instant boost up to 130 kmph making it 10 percent faster. The electric motor disconnects past 130 kmph and the powertrain completely takes over. Compared to the Aventador SVJ which currently sits on Lamborghini’s throne, the Sian is 0.2 seconds faster between 30 to 60 kmph and in higher gears, the traction force is increase by up to 20 percent making it 1.2 seconds faster between 70 to 120 kmph.

    Lamborghinis have always been head turners as far as looks are concerned and going by these sketches, the Sian takes inspiration from the Countach and has the bold and sharp design elements intact as well which is typical of a Lamborghini. The air inlets sport the iconic Lamborghini Y shaped curtains and the hood is sculpted with diagonal lines. The lower section of the front integrates a carbon fibre splitter flanked by Y shaped headlights which come together to give a very aggressive stance.

    Lamborghini is planning to make just 63 units of the Sian in honour of the foundation year of Lamborghini and it will be showcased at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show.
