    Hyundai Teases Electric Concept For The 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show

    We’ve already told you what Hyundai is bringing to the 2019 Frankfurt Motor show but the company has now teased a new model, and from the looks of it, it is another electric vehicle. The company says that this EV will focus on the future direction of the company’s car design and the inspiration from the past while also stepping into the future. The looks of the electric car in question is inspired by the brand’s first model in the 1970s. It’s called the 45 concept and yes, it’s an all-electric model. The company says that the 45 electric car concept will act as a milestone for Hyundai’s future EV design.

    The second electric vehicle will be the company’s first-ever electric racing car, which the carmaker claims will tease the future of motorsport. The new electric race car has been designed and built at the company’s headquarters in Alzenau, Germany by Hyundai Motorsport (HMSG). The company says that the car “will underline the company’s high-performance capabilities, green technology credentials and unwavering passion for motorsport.”

    The car will be unveiled on September 10, 2019 and will bring out the sensous and sporty design language that the company has been bringing in their cars lately. There are no technical details that have been released yet, but from the looks of it we’ll get a digital fascia. In addition to this showcase, Hyundai will debut the next-generation Hyundai Grand i10 (known as just i10 in Europe), and one more electric car.

    Vietnam Motor Show scheduled in August

    They include 12 brands of 10 members of the Viet Nam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA) including Chevrolet, Ford, FUSO, Honda, Isuzu, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Suzuki, Toyota, and Do Thanh.

    The exhibition will also feature over 50 companies from supporting industries who will bring automobile parts and services.

    The event, which this year will have the theme “connected technology for smart moving”, will highlight the role of technology in modern life.

    Toru Kinoshita, chairman of VAMA, said: “The development of automobiles has had an enormous effect on people’s way of life all over the world. Advanced technology and innovation in the auto industry nowadays has given people incredible freedom of movement and influence over how they want to move, live and enjoy life.

    “Therefore we decided to choose this theme. We would like to express the impact of connected technology on Vietnamese life, thus enabling significant changes to patterns of living.”

    The exhibitors have said they will offer many promotions at the event.

    Also at the exhibition, conferences and forums will be held to discuss urgent issues facing the industry.

    The event, which will be held at the Sai Gon Exhibition and Convention Centre in District 7, expects to welcome 150,000-160,000 visitors.

  • Second Vietnam motor show to be held in Hanoi

    Second Vietnam motor show to be held in Hanoi

    The show, the second of its kind, is held by the Vietnam Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers (VAMM), carrying the message “Free Your Wheels”.

    It will gather famous brand names from official suppliers including Honda, Piaggio, Yamaha, SYM and Suzuki as well as some imported complete built units such as Benelli, Ducati, Kawasaki, Peugeot and Harley Davidson.

    In addition, tens of brands in support industry, spare parts and other fields like finance, insurance and banking will also be present at the event.

    According to VAMM Chairman Yano Takeshi, the show aims to create a prestigious and professional playground for manufacturers to popularise their products.

    He said that it is billed as a bridge to nudge high-end motorcycles with modern technology closer to Vietnamese consumers, contributing to branching out the local motorcycle industry.

    The event is expected to welcome 150,000 visitors to experience free trial drive and join in vibrant interactive activities.

    Last year’s show displayed over 100 motorcycle models, luring 140,000 people.

    Honda BR-V bookings to open at Indonesia Motor Show

    Honda, the Japanese automaker, yesterday released the design sketches of the much-awaited compact SUV. Based on the Brio platform, the prototype of the crossover will be premiered at the 2015 Indonesian International Auto Show in August. If reports are to be believed, Indonesia will be the first market to see the launch of this much-awaited BR-V crossover.

    Bookings for the crossover will open at the 2015 Indonesia Motor Show itself. For the Indian market, the Brio SUV is expected to make its debut at the 2016 Delhi Motor Show while the launch could take place by the mid-2016. The BR-V crossover is developed by Honda R&D Asia Pacific Co., Ltd. (HRAP) in Thailand, and it will target Asian markets.

    The Honda BR-V crossover will be a seven-seater car, and is expected to get better quality interiors. The vehicle features a rugged design with high ground clearance, single slat chrome grille, LED daytime running headlamps and large alloy wheels.

    Under the hood is a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that is good for 117bhp of power. This engine will be paired to a five-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. India-spec model will also get a diesel engine option, 1.5-litre i-DTEC motor paired to a six-speed manual gearbox.
